VOLUNTEER Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) in Whittlesea and Hume have been given a funding boost by the State Government.
Health Minister Daniel Andrews said the government would spend $4 million on the state’s 29 CERT teams, including Kinglake.
The teams are run by volunteer crews who are dispatched at the same time as a qualified ambulance officers to accidents and other urgent calls.
